I had discovered this series a while back, and I have to say that it feel strange to see it coming to an end. There’s one thing I do am happy about, it’s that this book provide a great ending, true to the rest of the series. I had been disappointed with Passion, but this book did made up for it. Was it love? No, it wasn’t. Was I satisfied once I finally put the book down? Yes, as most of the questions I had were answered.

I can’t say I didn’t see coming the truth about Lucinda. It was clear from the beginning why she was the one who could, in a way, save them all. I do have to say that I didn’t see coming the twist with Lucifer. I was expecting something a little different (featuring Cam. I missed Cam in this one. We clearly don’t see him enough.) We FINALLY learn how Luce and Daniel met, how they fell in love. That’s what really made me happy with this book, as it is what we were all hoping this book would be happy.

The ending brings a complete end to the series. There’s no really need for anything more after that, and that’s something that I’m really happy about. They do mostly get a happy ending, even though it isn’t every character we have grown to love that will live to see it. I didn’t feel that sad to see the story of Luce and Daniel end. I felt so disappointed in Passion, and having this book simply bring back the aspect that made me enjoy this series was enough. We get answers. We get closure. We get what we were waiting for from this series. Now, all we can do is wait to see what Lauren Kate will bring us next, with some new characters, and hopefully a new world.

This book will satisfy those who did enjoy this series. I found it to be a lot better than Passion, so if you still like this series even after Passion, you’ll be satisfied with the closure this book brings.

First, I have to say that I thought Passion was the final book of the series. I didn’t know if I should be happy or sad about that. It’s not that I don’t like the series, I do like it, but I was prepared to read the end of it. Sigh.

The plot was kind of not that big. What matters in the book is that we learn all about he past lives of Luce, which was interesting. I simply was expecting much more from the book. I was expecting a happy ending, but there was no real ending, just the knowledge that there is more to come. I don’t know. It kind of was a disappointment. Arg. Yet I did read it in one sitting, and couldn’t put it down.

I liked that in this book we learned more about Luce and Daniel. It kind of made their love less strange (?) if I can say that. Still, it is the same main characters. I still like Cam, and wish we could have seen him more, but maybe next book?

I like Lauren Kate. I’ve liked her since Fallen, but I’m kind of hoping for something different. I’m kind of excited to read something new from her. Maybe that’s just me, and the fact that I was thinking it was the last one.

I would give it a 3/5, simply because I was expecting much more. For those of you who loved this series, you will still like this one, but I don’t think this book will bring those of you who didn’t like Fallen and Torment into the story.

I loved Fallen. I picked it up because of its beautiful cover (How pretty is it?) and I never regretted it. I didn’t really know what to expect form it, because I hadn’t read anything about it. It was just there at the Indigo store downtown. It was one of those day were I can’t seem to control myself in a book store (which happens way to often... My credit card is about to divorce me…) Once I started to read it, I couldn’t put it down

First of all, I love the story. There is so much stuff going on that it never ends up being boring. The rhythm was really perfect for me: not too fast, not too slow. The ending was really well written, even if the ending clearly shows that there will be a sequel. She gives us just enough to satisfy us until the sequel Torment, but not enough to not to makes us crave for the sequel. I remember longing for the sequel for months after reading it.

I love the characters. I find them to be really well written. It would have been so easy to make Luce a Mary-Sue, but she is so far from that. Daniel and Cam are great characters. At some point, I couldn’t decide whom I like best. They are amazing in their own separate way, as they are two completely different characters. I don’t think there was one character that annoyed me for the wrong reasons.

Lauren Kate style is so good. I love the way she writes, I just feel like everything that was written needed to be in the book. I love how she describes things that matter.

I would give this book a good 8.5/10!
