Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly Meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It is an opportunity for us to show books we can't wait to get our hands on.
And their doom comes swiftly.
It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives—an exclusive house party on Henry Island. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their reasons for being there (which involve T.J., the school’s most eligible bachelor) and look forward to three glorious days of boys, booze and fun-filled luxury.
But what they expect is definitely not what they get, and what starts out as fun turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine.
Suddenly people are dying, and with a storm raging, the teens are cut off the from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on each other, can Meg find the killer before more people die? Or is the killer closer to her than she could ever imagine?
This simply sounds amazingly good! I haven't read Gretchen McNEil's first book yet, but this one is definitely on my TBR list!
What book are you waiting for this week?
I haven't read the first book either but Ten is on my wishlist! I love books that are set on islands so I'm pretty sure this one's gonna be great <3 :)
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
Thanks for stopping by. I haven't really read many books set on islands, tbh. It's the creepiness that makes me want to read it!
DeleteThis one definitely sounds intriguing. Can't wait to read it! :)
ReplyDeleteLike you I haven't read the other book (yet) but Ten is so on my wish list! Sounds like the YA thriller of the year :)

I love sound of this one. Creepy, but it could be really awesome. Great choice.
ReplyDeleteSounds very similar to a classic horror film. Or The Cabin in the Woods which I watched recently. Now that is a wierd movie. Looks interesting if not creepy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my WoW.
Still haven't seen The Cabin in the Woods, but I really want to. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI actually really didn't like her first book, but I'm super excited about this one anyway, because I'm pretty sure it's like a teenage remake of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None (originally titled Ten Little Indians).
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that! I'm even more curious now about it!
DeleteThanks!
This one sounds like such a creeeepy book! Not generally a fan of horror but it sounds interesting. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds good, like an old school slasher almost.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by My WoW
Hrhr, that sounds like a "The Ring" kind of story... Way too scary for me. x) But I hope you'll enjoy it one it gets out. Thanks for sharing and stepping by! =)

ReplyDeleteAww... I've seen this around before. But I'm still contemplating whether I'd read it or not. Nevertheless... Awesome pick! :D

I've got to remember to put this on my list. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteChristina is right, it does sound a little like the old Agatha Christie story. Could be interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW!
This book sounds interesting..not sure if I will end up reading it or not but who knows!!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and thanks for stopping by!!
Oh yeah I'm definitely dying to read this one, too. I've read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie and while I didn't love that, I liked it. This reminds me of that and I'm hoping it will be even better without the kind of formal feel ATTWN had. Nice pick :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read And Then There Were None, but I woudl lvoe to see someone compare both books. I'm curious to see if the story would be similar.
DeleteI am SO excited for this one! Sounds quite creepy, and if it was a movie I would never watch it. But a book? Definitely a need-to-read! Great pick, and thanks for stopping by today =)
ReplyDeleteI probably would only watch the movie only if I was with some friends, or in the morning so I would have ALL day to forget about the creepiness.
DeleteI totally want to read this one!!
ReplyDelete- Jessica @ Book Sake

This one sounds pretty scary and good. I got the chills from the summary
ReplyDeleteThis is #1 on my TBR/WoW list. I loved the original by Agatha Christie and I can't wait to see the influences Gretchen used. Thanks for visiting Book Strings!
ReplyDeleteI'll be waiting for your review then, if you've read it. I really want to hear the opinion of someone who has read the original, to see how it compare. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteI remember reading the synopsis for TEN a while back, before its cover reveal. Sounds seriously freaky. Sometimes these kinds of books are such a nice change from...less scary books. :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my WoW post. :)
I've heard of this a couple times, it sounds so creepy! Kind of like a horror movie (my favorite!) but in book form...Perfection!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by
