I finally read Paranormalcy. I honestly can’t wait to read Supernaturally now, because I am now addicted to this series.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it. The beginning got me on the fence. Yet, after a couple of pages, I was addicted. There is something going on all the time, with the wonderful paranormal coming in the story. The ending was great. It didn’t leave me heart broken because I was done, but I still want to read the sequel.

The characters were amazing. I loved Evie. She kicks ass. I sooo want her pink taser, it so amazing. She made ma laugh so bad. Lend was so cute. I loved him. I want one Lend. I wish I could have his power, it seems so cool. Reth was the most annoying faerie I have ever read about. I wanted to kill him so bad.

I am now a big fan of Kiersten White. She has me now addicted to her books. Can’t wait for the sequel.

I would give this book a really good 4.5/5. I can’t wait for Supernaturally!

Okay, I've wanted to read this book for a while. When I won with, I was so happy. I received it on Tuesday, and I ended up reading it in a couple of hours the next day.

I loved this story. A love supposed to be impossible, yet they each fall for the other. It is a really cute story, and I love the draki factor. I really like this idea, as that was original. Even if I could guess where everything was going, I still had to read it to be sure. I really enjoyed it. The ending made me sad, and now I really want to read Vanish, which makes me even sadder because it won’t come out soon. I’ll have to be patient.

I really liked Jacinda. She is strong and she knows what she wants. Yet, she still tries her best to do things that will protect her family, even thought it is the complete opposite of what she wants. Her sister ended annoying me at the end. I understand that she may have felt neglected while living in the pride, but still, she ends up acting like a bitch with her sister. Will made me smile and sigh a lot. He is so amazing. Yeah, he may be a hunter, but still, there’s a really sweet side of him, a side that made me sigh a lot.

I really enjoy Sophie Jordan’s style. It really got me into the story. It was easy to read, and I just can’t wait to read more from her. Bring me some more draki soon!

Holly Black, may I say I completely love you… Okay, honestly, I devoured this book. It was simply too good. I read White Cat last week, and simply couldn’t wait to read this one. Now I’m dying for the third book, Black Heart, which won’t come out until 2012 *Cry*

The story is just so captivating. Cassel is back to school, after everything that happened to him, but life isn’t ready to give him a break. Seriously, poor guy, he doesn’t even have a chance to enjoy life. There is always something happening to him, he doesn’t really have an easy life. The ending got me so excited for what would come next. It isn’t a mean cliffhanger, but it still makes you want to read the next book right away. Now I’ll have to wait…. That sucks.

The characters just keep on getting better. I adore Cassel. He is just so nice, and so amazingly good. Okay, he may not always do the right thing, but I’m really impressed with his control over the situation with Lila. I don’t why, but I don’t think most guys would have act the way he did. (Not all, but I know a couple who would have done the opposite. Cassel’s mother annoys me. I’m happy that she’s not my mother. I ended up being disappointed with Barron, but I won’t say why! I adore Sam, because he acts like a really great friend. Still, I ended up being surprise about Daneca; I didn’t think she would be hiding something like that.

Holly Black writes some crazy stories. She got me addicted to her writing, and I now really need to go to my local bookstore to get her other books. Now I will go back to wonder what will happen next, as I still have to wait a year for Black Heart.

I’m giving it a really great 5/5! Holly Black, you got me addicted!

Okay, first thing first: TEAM ZOMBIES!!!!

Now, I can tell you about it!

Honestly, I knew maybe half of the authors of this book, but those I knew made me want to buy it. I really don’t regret doing so. Did I like all the stories? Yeah. Loved them? No. That’s why I chose team Zombies, I loved most of them! (Sorry Holly Black, I wish I was team Unicorn, but Zombies really rock my world =P)

I won’t say much about the stories, because I don’t want to spoil them, but it is really worth reading. It was the perfect book for me this week. I could read one story, do some of my work, than read another one, and go back to my homework.

If you like these authors, go get it. I really enjoyed it, and I really have to check out some of these authors’ books.

Okay, I read Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side during the weekend, and I must say I was nicely surprise.

The story is so funny, so entertaining that I just couldn’t put it down. It was the perfect book to help me disconnect with all my homework. I laugh, cried and just became so addicted to the story. The ending is really nice, and I just can’t wait to read the sequel, to know where Jessica’s story is going.

Jessica makes me laugh so hard. She is so funny sometime, so innocent and so jealous. I just couldn’t stop myself from liking her. Lucius has something relax good going on for him. At first I wasn’t so sure, but the more I learned about him, the more I ended up liking him.

I find Fantaskey’s style just pure fun. I really need to read more from her, because she simply knows how to create amazing entertaining books.

Overall, 4.5! Simply because it made me laugh so hard, and kept me captivated until the last page. 

Review: The Awakening

This series is getting better and better. Where the first one was slow at first, this one brings you back to the story quite fast. I’m really getting into this series now, and I recognize the wonders Armstrong can do.

The story continues in this sequel, after the Edison Group caught Chloe. As soon as I started reading it, I just couldn’t put it down. I had to know what would happen next, I still have to. The ending is great, because it makes you want to pick the next one, without torturing you. I’ll read the Reckoning soon, but I won’t die waiting for it.

I really like the characters more and more. Derek is really getting on my good side. I just really like him, there is something really interesting about him. Tori is annoying, but she’s getting better. She makes me laugh sometime. Simon ended up annoying me a little in this book, yet I can’t really say why. Chloe is growing through the books, a thing I like. She seems a little more mature and confident.

Kelley Armstrong is such an amazing writer. I absolutely love her; I can’t wait to read more from her. I still prefer her adult series a little more, but I’m enjoying the Darkest Power more now than I did at first.

Overall, it is getting really good. I would give it a 4/5

I was excited to read this book, even though I heard mixed reviews about it. Why? It is set in the same kind of world that the Mortal Instruments, a series I’ve loved. Many complain that it was too similar, but I even if it is similar, I still really enjoyed it.

The story is set in London, which gives it a little something for me. It started a little slow, and at first I wasn’t sure if I could really get into it. It didn’t take long that I was completely addicted once again by Clare’s work. There is always something going, action, love, drama or whatever can get you so captivated that you won’t be able to put it down until you’ve finished it. The ending makes me curious, but it isn’t killing me like the ending of CoFA has been doing for the last week. I’m curious to know what will happen next, but I’ll survive until the Clockwork Prince comes out.

The characters were really great. We have, ladies, two intriguing young men, who both seem really interestingly sexy. Will is a more classical Jace. Yet, I preferred Jem. There is something about him that makes me weak in the knees. He just has this gentleman vibe about him, and this sweetness that makes him really more interesting to me. Jessamine annoyed me, but I guess that’s the kind of character that is there to do that. I won’t talk too much about the other characters, because I’m scared I’ll give too much away, but as always, Clare can make every characters seem extremely important, even if we don’t see them much in this book.

Cassandra Clare is an amazing writer. She gets me addicted to everything she writes in only a few minutes. I can’t wait to read her next books, which I will have a while to wait for.

I would give this one a 4.5/5, because I think it is missing a little something to make it perfect.

Again, it this one series I still don’t understand why I didn’t pick up sooner. With all the talking about this series, I decided to finally read the first one. It had been in my TBR pile for a while. Everyone was raving about it, and as the sequel came out last week, why not give it a shot?

I honestly didn’t know what to expect. Sometimes, I buy books simply because everyone is talking about it, and I have to see for myself what it is about. All I knew was that it was supposed to be good. And it was.

The story was didn’t captivate me right away. There were a couple of What The Heck moments, but after a while, I really got into it. Once I was addicted, I just couldn’t put it down. Supernatural powers meet Mafia and organized criminal gang. Wow, not something I would have expected. Black created a world for this series, and I still completely surprised by how crazy it is (in a good way). The ending leaves me begging for more. I’ve already ordered Red Glove. Still, even if she leaves you waiting for the sequel, it is not a painful one. It is one that makes me excited for the sequel, but it won’t make me lose sleep, like some other books did (yes, CoFA, I’m definitely talking about you!).

The characters were great. My favorite is Cassel, there is just something about him that makes me want to go and hug him (strange…). The two brothers got on my nervers from the beginning, but in a good way. The annoyed me like they were my own brothers.  I adore the grandfather, even if I wasn’t sure at first. There’s something about him that makes him likable to me. The mother annoys me, and I can’t really explain why, but she does. Finally, I really like Sam and Denace. They are really great friends to Cassel. After all, they do some crazy stuff for him.

White Cat was the first book I read by Holly Black. I can honestly say that it won’t be the last.

Overall, I would give it a good 4.5/5, simply because of the ending that left me unsure for a while.

Honestly, I bought this book because of its pretty cover. I’m not ashamed of that. I’m really happy to have done so, because I really enjoyed it.

At first, the story was a little slow for me, but once it really start, I just couldn’t put it down. One action led to another, which led to another… There is always something happening. Plus, there a cute little romance going on, which I did like. The ending tells you there is more to come, but it doesn’t end with a mean cliffhanger. I was happy about that, because too many books lately have giving us some crazy cliffhanger.

I really liked the characters, but I can’t really say that I like the main character’s name. I don’t like the name Tamsin, it sounds strange to me. (Sorry if someone has that name…) Yet, I like her as a character. She is strong, intelligent, and sometime she can be the complete opposite. Rowena annoyed me a little at the beginning, because she seemed to think she was better than Tamsin (which I think is cruel. Why do the older sisters usually are the one who think they are better than their younger sister. I say “Power to the younger sibling!” Gabriel was my favorite. Come on; cute, musician, and talented! What can you ask for more (well, being real could be nice, but it’s so overrated these days.)? I can’t wait to see him more in the next book.

I like the world MacCullough has created. It’s realistic, and well written. I can’t wait to read more from her.

I would give it a 4/5! Now I only have to wait until August to read Always a Witch.

This series is getting better and better every time! I adore this series. I really can’t wait to pick the next one up.

The story is just getting better book after book. There is always something going on. Many things are happening, most of which are connecting at some point in the story. The endings are always leaving you begging for more in this series. Caine just knows how to make you want to run to pick up the sequel, so you can finally know what will happen.

I simply love the characters Caine created.  Claire seems to be getting stronger, and wiser. She seems to understand more the consequences of her actions in that town. We are seeing a little more of the vampire side of Michael, even if he doesn’t want his friends to see it. Eve doesn’t always seem to think before she acts, especially when it includes Michael.  Shane is funny, nice, but he can be a jerk sometime. I simply adore him.

I adore Caine series. I can’t wait to read more. I really need to go to the bookstore to get the fifth book.

I really like this series. Some real good vampire! I just find it so entertaining.

The story is just really great. There’s always something going on. And the ending… I really let out a WTF when I finished it. Caine really likes her cliffhanger. It’s almost mean.

The characters are just too awesome. I love Claire. She’s really growing in the books, and she’s getting a little more naughty, which I like. Michael is going a little on the dark side, and Eve is still Eve. I like her character. She makes me laugh so much. Shane is my favorite bad boy in this series. Yet, he can still be nice for Claire Bear.

I really like Caine’s story. She brings back some more classical vampire, which I like.

Honestly, if you haven’t started this series, and you like vampire books, you should be ashamed. Check the review for the first two books HERE and HERE.

It’s short and sweet. Yet, if I had read that before reading the series, I would have been lost, and I probably wouldn’t have read it. It’s a nice bonus, but I personally wouldn’t have bought it. Why?

First, it was really short. Nothing really happens in it, except what we kind of know from the series. It just helps understand. I just wasn’t that entertained.

Second, where’s Nash! I like him! I think I would have preferred to see him a little to just reading his name once. It’s not my fault that is a really awesome character!

Overall, I would say go read it if you liked the series. It’s free after all! Yet, I don’t think I would really have paid for it, simply because there was nothing really happening for me.

I’m a little over the fence with this book. I was expecting a lot from it, as I usually really enjoy historic books, yet there was something with this one that stopped me from getting into the story.

The story was interesting, but was really slow. One main aspect of the book is religion, which I didn’t really enjoy. I don’t really like books that use religion that much, because I think it should really is a personal thing. It’s not preaching you one religion. It goes well with the setting, but it really stopped me from really getting into the story. The ending fits well, but it didn’t wow me.

I really liked Maggie as a character. She just seems authentic to me. I completely hated Annie, but in a good way. She was just too awful to Maggie. Still, as a character, I liked her. I won’t talk about the more religious characters, because I had some problems with them. I just didn’t really enjoy them always quoting the Bible or religious scripture. The last character I really loved was the Granny. She was just an amazing character. She was simply so strong and she made me laugh. I wish we could have seen more from her.

I enjoy the writing, which is one of the reasons I didn’t give up on it when I saw that there was that much religion in it. I’m curious about Laird’s work, and I’ll probably check her other work.

Over all, I would give it a 3/5. It was okay. I would recommend it if you’re not turn off by religion in books.

I was extremely excited to read The Goddess Test. I was really curious about it. I don’t know that much about Greek Mythology, so I was scared I would be lost. It didn’t happen.

Let’s start with the story. I thought it was good. It started slow, but in the end I thought it was captivating. I ended up really enjoying it. Some have said that you could figure out many aspect of the story, but I didn’t. It was probably because I don’t know that much about Greek Mythology. The ending is perfect for me; I couldn’t be more satisfied. It doesn’t end with a cliffhanger, but it still leaves the door open for a sequel. I love it when authors are able to create this kind ending.

The characters really got me. I really like Kate, I think she is just the kind of girl I would love to have as a best friend. Henry makes me weak in the knees. I simply love how Carter makes the relationship between Kate and Henry grows. I think it is really nicely done. Yes, Kate doesn’t seem to ask that many question when she accepts the deal, but I think it is part of who she is. She just wanted to save someone at first, and then have more time with her mother. At her place, I would have taken a chance to simply be able to have more time to say goodbye to my mother.

Carter is also an amazing storyteller. She keeps you in the book so well, that you just can put it down. I simply enjoyed her style. It was fun and easy to read. I can’t wait to read the sequel, or any books she will write in the future. I’m a fan.

Overall, I really liked it. It is a really good book, and an excellent debut for an author I will definitely beg for more.

I had trouble reading this book. I just couldn’t get into the story. There was something that just kept me from really liking it, and I don’t know what it is.

The story is slow, but interesting. The ending is nicely written, and it goes well with the story. Yet, I couldn’t get into it. There was something that I can’t identify that makes me not enjoy it. I spend 4 days on it, and I stopped way to many time (for City of Fallen Angels and Where She Went.)

I couldn’t identify myself with the characters. I could tolerate Brenna, but I didn’t really like her. White Bird just didn’t do anything for me, and the bad guys just weren’t amazing. If I had any expectations, I would have been extremely disappointed. Still, I wasn’t expecting anything, so it was okay.

The best part for me was the writing. I really liked the way she writes, but I feel like her description are sometime to long.

Overall, I would give it a 3/5. I liked it, but it just wasn’t that great.
